FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

I am registered. What do I do or where do I go?

Please review the check-in locations and times information on this page.

I am not sure if I am registered?

If you registered online and you used a valid email address, you would have received a confirmation reply and a Confirmation Number from SignMeUp.Com. Your credit charge would be to signmeup.com*bike tour. If you registered by mail or by fax, your application would be returned, as we do not accept any applications other than registering online. To confirm your registration, go here:

http://www.signmeup.com/confirmation/67883

I am not registered. Can I still get in?

There may be a few spots open for same day registration based on no shows. This will be the only opportunity, with no guarantees, and will take place on the morning of the ride, June 6, at the Start Finish located at the Horizon Casino parking lot C, from 7:00 - 7:30 am, based on no show space availability. Late fees will apply and you will not be guaranteed a goodie bag or t-shirt. We do not keep a seller or waiting list and will not have any idea of space availability until after May 30, 2010.

We ask please that you do not ride unregistered as the roadways are narrow, and by doing so jeopardizes the safety and future of the ride and may open you up to personal liability as only registered riders are covered under our ride insurance policy. Unregistered bicyclists will not be allowed on the closed road course.

We will also produce Tour de Tahoe on Sept 12, 2010, and this will be another opportunity to ride around the Lake. Online registration is open on this website.

I am registered but cannot make the ride. What are my options?

Credit: There is a no refund policy, but unlike other events, TGFT Productions / Bike the West produces other events and will offer a credit to ride Tour de Tahoe on September 12. You must email a letter that you will not be participating by Sunday, May 30, 2010, to receive a credit toward Tour de Tahoe. You will receive instructions on how to re-register for Tour de Tahoe. Credit will not be offered after that date or to no shows. No Shows without prior notice by the date above, will forfeit all credit, goodie bags, and all other merchandise including pre-ordered and pre-purchased merchandise. It is your responsibility to contact ride organizers to make arrangements for pick-up or shipping of any preordered or pre-purchased merchandise.

Transfer registration: There is no waiting list, but you may transfer your registration to another person by supplying that person an authorized signed letter that states you are not riding and would like to transfer your registration to the new rider (Sample Letter). The new rider must go through registration check-in and present the letter and pay a $20 transfer fee. The new rider will then be required to fill out a new application, sign the waiver and receive your packet with number and will be good to go. To reiterate, A $20 transfer fee will be charged to the new rider.

Please do not sign the waiver, pick up your packet and sell it to someone else in line. We assume you will be riding and this will nullify your registration. The person that you sell it to will have no coverage on our ride insurance and may be ejected from the event. If that person gets hurt or hurts another registered rider, you and the person you sold your number to will be personally liable for damages; and inadvertently, your emergency contact person may be notified, causing undue stress on your family or friend. So please go through the proper instructions on transferring your registration.

Can I sign the waiver for my friend and pick up their packet?

It is required that all participants must sign the waiver, but if it’s not possible, you may download the waiver form, have that person sign it and attach a copy of their picture I.D. or driver’s license to be able to pick up their packet. No Exceptions! An attached copy picture I.D. or driver’s license will be required. Just don't bring your friend’s driver’s license - there must be a copy of it attached to the signed waiver.
